In December 2022, DonationPay launched our updated platform with new features, a new banking partner, and more. As we get ready to say goodbye to the old system on March 1st, 2024, we're making some changes to our customer service policies to help our team continue to support clients most efficiently.
Beginning October 24th, we will begin limiting the types of page and account changes our team will make on legacy accounts. If you request a change that falls in this category, our team will assist you in getting your account migrated before addressing the request.
This means: if you request a change to one of your DonationPay pages that, in our updated platform, could be completed using self service tools, we will help you update your account so you can make similar changes yourself going forward.
This includes changes like:
- text updates on your DonationPay pages
- updates to suggested amounts
- new payment pages
- updates to images and custom fields on your DonationPay pages
All these changes are now simple and possible to make on your own using our updated tools, and our CS team is phasing out making these changes manually on your behalf. If you request a change like the above, we'll divert the ticket into a migration process so you can get your account transitioned ASAP, and begin using our new features to manage your donation forms.
If you request changes that are not possible to complete using our self-service tools, our team will be happy to make them.
This policy change means that if you plan to continue using the old system through the holiday season, you will need to submit all holiday-facing changes to DonationPay by the end of October, if you would like updates on a legacy account. The legacy platform is deprecated and will be disabled on March 1st 2024, and we strongly encourage all clients to transition their accounts now in time for the holiday season.
