We are profoundly sorry for the downtime our system experienced today and over the weekend, which was resolved around 3pm today. The hosting account for our main site, www.donationpay.org, was hacked, and our payment pages and Portal were also disabled automatically, to prevent a data breach. During this incident, our support and individual DonationPay email addresses, and virtual phone system, were down, so our emergency support relay was not working.
Phone and email messages you may have sent to our team (primary account reps AJ, Sarah, Wynn, Patsy or Noah, and all members of our development team) were not received unless you received a response from a team member after opening a ticket directly in our Zendesk support portal at www.donationpay.zendesk.com.
The outage is now resolved and we are so sorry this has affected you and your donors. We're improving our emergency protocols for issues like this, as these types of incidents become more prevalent in the industry, and will be sharing more detail on emergency response in our forums soon.
