All Accounts Moving to Updated Platform
On March 5th, DonationPay is ending our relationship with Paysafe, our previous banking provider, and will be moving all accounts remaining there to our updated platform, which was launched in 2013.
There's been an increase in fraudulent activity on the older donation pages in our system; this activity is primarily card tumbling, which is a card thief or bot testing stolen card numbers through our payment pages. This is a pervasive problem in the industry, and we have comprehensive tools on our updated platform to combat it. Paysafe, our previous banking service provider, does not provide fraud protection tools and DonationPay no longer develops features on their platform, so we are not able to address fraudulent activity on the deprecated platform when it occurs. We are moving our remaining clients to our contemporary provider, IATS Payments, and all accounts at Paysafe will be closed on March 5th.
- If you're one of our older clients still using the deprecated system, our banking partner IATS Payments has already reached out to you to begin the transition process. Once that part of the set-up is done, our team will complete your upgrade and send an email notification to our contact on file. If you have not been contacted by IATS Payments, please let your account rep know immediately.
- If your organization completes the process before February 28th, there should be no downtime for your payment pages. Data from your Paysafe account will not be available after March 5th, so we encourage all clients to export any data they need this month.
- You will need to manually move your recurring payments to the new system; Paysafe can assist with providing this data securely to you. If you have more than 50 active recurring payments, please contact our team and we will help set up a secure import of your payments.
